Braunton is a large village with a range of options for eating out, takeaways, food shopping and more. The centre of Braunton is only a short walk from Limetree, and a central car park is available if needed.

Wild Thyme

Wild Thyme is a great place for breakfast. Serving home cooked food, smoothies, juices and fairtrade organic coffee and tea. Lunch time and early evening meals. Vegetarian options, wheat free and gluten free options. Serves wine and beer.

The Riverside

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fresh dishes, at affordable prices, in a welcoming family atmosphere. The Charlesworth family even grow many of the ingredients used in the menu at their family farm, situated just outside the village.

Cawthorns Foodmarket

Located right in the center of Braunton, Cawthorns is a comprehensive local supermarket, stocking fresh local produce, a range of household goods, barbecues, beer, wine and spirits. Long opening hours. Open every day until 9 PM (even Sundays).

The George Inn

Great for breakfast. The George offers a wide range of delicious meals throughout the day (including vegetarian options), all created from the carefully sourced fresh local produce that is the cornerstone of food at The George Inn.


Serving breakfast. Since 1969 Squires award winning Fish and Chip restaurant. Considered by many to be the No 1 premier fish restaurant in North Devon. Squires have received many accolades, awards and reviews.

At One

At One is a 'Modern European Dining' restaurant, which offers imaginative flavours & styles, from here in the South West to the many shores of the Mediterranean. Open for breakfast from 10 AM. Reservations recommended.


A contemporary and stylish bar, restaurant and roof terrace. Serving a range of affordable British cuisine and variety of wines, beers and cocktails, SQ offers a glamorous and sophisticated backdrop to a comfortable and relaxed dining experience.

White Lion Pub

Traditional pub fayre with a sunny beer garden. Real ales and cider. The food is honest pub food with various sharing platters, great for socialising. Don't be put off by the reviews - new owners in 2016 and no longer a thai restaurant.

Royal Bengal Indian

Braunton's Indian restaurant. Uses fresh ingredients and where possible, seasonal and local produce. Takeaway available. Fully licenced restaurant can cater for around 40 people. Recently refurbished. Reservations recommended.
